The Arlington Diner has been a landmark business serving the Arlington Heights and surrounding Stroudsburg region since 1940, when it was first opened by its original owner Chet Hinton. The Arlington Diner was bought by Nick Vlamis in 1969 and since then, has been in the same family. Nick sold the business to his son George and brother in law Mike in the early 80’s who then passed the torch to Mike’s son George in 2003. Our family owned and operated business has taken pride in passing our home-style cooking and recipes from generation to generation. At the Arlington Diner, our mission and main priority is to please you, the customer. We strive for excellence in providing a fresh/clean atmosphere, superior service, and of course… HOMEMADE FOOD!
We believe in using fresh and quality ingredients. Because of this method of cooking, our customers often tell us that they can taste the freshness and difference when compared to many of our competitors. In a new world of accessible information, many consumers have been educated on the negative consequences to consuming sodium laden, processed food. At the Arlington Diner, we take great pride in serving made from scratch, homemade food. From our always fresh cooked to order chicken breast, to our hand breaded chicken cutlets, to our locally famous homefries, and our cut it with a fork savory Pot Roast, the Arlington Diner has been satisfying hearty appetites and health conscious diners alike for generations. So come join us, and see what all the buzz is about, you won’t be disappointed… oh, and don’t forget to leave room for the rice pudding, it might be the best you ever had!
